Biography
Yulia Savrasova a Mezzo-soprano made her debut on the stage of The Mariinsky Theatre with W.A.Mozart’s opera “Le Nozze di Figaro”. In parallel she had an engagement at the Tatar State Opera and Ballet House in Kazan (Tatarstan), where she made her debut with G.Bizet’s opera “Carmen”. As a soloist of this theatre she also participated several times in Shaliapin Opera Festival (Kazan) and in various opera tours.
She has appeared in well-known venues including the Saint-Petersburg State Philharmonic, the Mariinsky theatre and Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, the Moscow House of Music, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Wiener Musikverein, the Poly Theater in Beijing, the Cairo Opera House, the Theatro Tapia in San-Juan, Puerto Rico, the Theater Ariston in San-Remo, De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, the Hefei Grand Theater, the Tatar state Opera and Ballet Theater.
Yulia Savrasova is winner of several international singing competitions. Among others: the 21st International Miklaus Schneider-Trnavsky singing competition in Trnava, Slovakia and the 2nd International Boris Shtokolov singing competition in Saint-Petersburg.
She has worked with conductors such as V.Gergiev, P.Smelkov, T.Sokhiev, M.Güttler, M.Tatarnikov, M.Krejci, R.Salavatov, A.El Saedi, N.Abassi, M.Agrest, and V.Tsiatsianis.
Yulia Savrasova also appears regularly with a recitals of chamber vocal music. She collaborated with pianists Pavel Egorov and Norman Shetler. She works on a regular basis with the pianist Alessandro Amoretti.
She completed her studies at The Herzen State University of Russia (Prof. T.Smelkova), the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre, private with Jesus Quinones Ledesma in the United States of America, Viktoria Loukianetz in Vienna (Austria) and Giogio Lormi, Milano (Italy).
She also participated in Singing Masterclasses with Elena Obraztsova, Makvala Kasrashvili (Russia), Katia Ricciarelli (Italy) and Vesselina Kasarova (Austria).
